HOPE squad is a peer-to-peer support group that focuses on suicide prevention, anxiety, and depression. Our school just started to implement the HOPE Squad, we did not have any materials, so the materials we received from your generosity we will be using them for school wide activities during this academic year. An example of an activity was to promote World Kindness Day, the HOPE Squad, on November 13th, we passed out the positive saying tokens to show people we cared during lunch. We focused on those students who really looked like they needed a positive peer to peer interaction. \r\n\r\nAs a HOPE Squad we go through lessons to learn how to offer peers support to those who may be struggling with mental health issues, particularly those at risk of suicide, by acting as a peer to peer support system and referring them to the appropriate adults. We will be using the material for school wide activities during the rest of this academic year. We are planning to do one school activity per Month. \r\n\r\nThank you for your donation.\r\n\r\nSincerely, \r\n\r\n\r\nThe Churchill County Hope Squad \r\n\r\n\r\n and","fullyFundedDate":1726453738539,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-minds-and-hearts-supporting/8649969/","projectTitle":"Empowering Minds and Hearts: Supporting HopeSquad with the Right Foundation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGowan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9366802"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82907","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1020,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":57,"percentIndigenous":5,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"22.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":56.4,"schoolId":82907,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Churchill County High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Churchill County High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/churchill-county-school-district/churchill-co-high-school/82907"}
