When the boxes arrived, I tucked everything away in my classroom closet. Later that day, I opened the door to reveal shelves full of snacks and the reaction was priceless. There were actual gasps, wide eyes, and a moment of complete awe.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have already become a powerful motivator in our classroom as well. I told my students that I would spin a wheel of names for those who were on task and doing what they were supposed to do to earn a treat. The change was instant—students sat up straighter, focused their attention, and showed me they were ready to learn. It was amazing to see how something so simple could encourage responsibility, effort, and positive behavior in such a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your support goes far beyond food. You are helping create a classroom environment where students feel supported, motivated, and valued. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and for the care you've shown my students. My students were very excited to help open all the boxes and organize all our amazing school supplies for the year. All of the supplies have been going to great use in my classroom. Here are some examples:\r\nThe brown paper bags and Hershey's chocolate make discreet feminine product baggies for my girls. The girls in my school know I have these and come to my room all the time asking for one. I have students who cannot afford deodorant, so having spray deodorant in my cabinets for them to use help them concentrate more on school and less on how they smell. It is the same concept with the breakfast bars. The students love using the broom and dust pan to help keep our classroom clean. \r\n\r\nOverall, this funded project was able to help my students get the supplies they need and cannot afford, help me create differentiated and fun learning activities, and help me stay organized and on top of things, which contributes to a positive working environment.
