As a first-year art teacher, your support means the world to me. Thanks to your generosity, our school halls are now vibrant with student creativity.\r\n\r\nMy students have already dived into the oil pastels and markers, exploring color and blending in ways they couldn't before. The people-colored cardstock is essential for our current self-portrait project, ensuring every child feels accurately represented in their art. We have also used the geometrical shapes to bridge math and art, while the glue sticks remain the essential \"magic\" holding everything together!\r\n\r\nThe students especially loved creating dreamcatchers. This project incorporated First Nations curriculum and served as a powerful way to bridge cultures. For many students, it provided a tangible link to their own ancestry; for others, it offered a respectful window into the diverse traditions of the Ojibwe and Lakota people. Beyond the cultural connection, this project helped students build fine motor skills and confidence as they explored their own unique designs.\r\n\r\nThank you for making my first year so special and for investing in my students' artistic journeys.","fullyFundedDate":1767203702263,"projectUrl":"project/new-art-supplies-for-pre-k-through-fourt/9759464/","projectTitle":"New Art Supplies for Pre-K Through Fourth Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Austin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8475708_orig.jpg?crop=311,311,x0,y15&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659819185920","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8475708"},{"teacherId":6795613,"projectId":9288684,"letterContent":"My students were so excited when the pianos arrived a few weeks ago.
