Your donation allowed me to purchase numerous workbooks, which provide not only useful tips and informational literature, but helpful work pages and exercises for students to practice things like coping skills, regulating stress and anxiety, and positive thinking. Having these workbooks on hand means I'm able to spend less time looking for resources, and more time serving my students. \r\n\r\nSome of the books I was able to purchase include story books; these story books are integral parts to my classroom lessons. For elementary students, good books used during my read-aloud and circle time allow students to connect to big ideas in an accessible way. I love the \"Little Spot Of...\" books and how they so helpfully explain big ideas about emotions. \r\n\r\nWhen a student meets me in my office, learning through play is often the most successful form of learning and connecting with students. Several of your donations were games and activities I can use as a low-stress, fun and engaging activity in which students are learning valuable skills. Especially for my youngest students (grades K & 1), these activities allow students to explore and role-play important social skills. Being able to reach for these ready-made games and activities is such a benefit to me and my students. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donation. These materials have added so much value to my lessons, individual sessions and professional learning. I know I will continue to use them and benefit for years to come, too.","fullyFundedDate":1767837226333,"projectUrl":"project/emotional-regulation-and-coping-skills-f/9873457/","projectTitle":"Emotional Regulation and Coping Skills for a K-6 School","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Farrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1049179_orig.jpg?crop=418,418,x0,y140&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762271478597","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1049179"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78444","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":166,"numTeachers":10,"percentFrplEligible":8,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"16.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":44.4,"schoolId":78444,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Amsterdam Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Amsterdam Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/amsterdam-school-district-75/amsterdam-elementary-school/78444"}
