We have a bin in the classroom with all the sensory items, timers, and calm down strategies. The first few days we received the supplies, students were able to manipulate each item so they could figure out the appropriate way to use each thing. Students also figured out what would be the best calm down tools for them.\r\nAfter about 8 weeks of school, I've noticed students using the tools and timers at different times to calm down. Usually students are frustrated with peers or work and they take a quick break before returning back to the group. I'm hoping students continue finding their favorite calm down technique as the school year continues. The laptop mouse has enhanced my ability to navigate resources quickly improving the overall learning experience. In addition, the paper towels and Lysol wipes have been invaluable in the maintain a clean and healthy environment.
