During guided reading rotations, students will be working with new words that are at their individual level. Each student will have be given a task to do with these materials for one of the stations called word work. Students will write the words, spell the words, stamp the words, etc. I currently don't have the tools to do these things so students aren't interacting with the words. With fun activities, students can become engaged in the words and enjoy playing with words. Magnetic letters, bananagrams, and stamps will be used for students to write words in a creative way. This keeps their interest and engagement so that they will hopefully remember the words easier. They will see these words in books and learn to spell them in their writing. This will help their reading and writing skills so they can become great readers!
