One moment that stood out was during a lesson on making ten: a student who often struggles with abstract numbers lit up when they used two-color counters to physically create combinations. They proudly announced, \"I get it now!\" and continued showing different ways to make ten to their peers.\r\n\r\nThe manipulatives are also supporting students who learn best through tactile and visual experiences. They help us make math concrete, accessible, and fun for every learner in the room. Our next steps include using these tools to dive deeper into place value, fact fluency, and problem-solving.
