Our school strives to reach the needs of each individual child. Every child has abilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is time, encouragement, exposure, motivation, and access to resources. The students in my class strive to be their best not only when it comes to academics but also when it comes to being kind, caring, responsible, and respectful learners. Many of my students speak a native language other than English. More than a third of students from my school come from low-income households. Each of these students are unique individuals but together we work hard, have fun, make memories, and have experiences that will follow them years beyond their time in the classroom. We truly are a family.
