Your contribution has made a meaningful difference in the daily learning experiences of my students, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to provide them with engaging, hands-on materials.\r\nPreschoolers are naturally curious and eager to learn, and these new resources have brought an extra level of excitement into our groups. The moment I introduced the materials, their eyes lit up with anticipation. Many of them immediately wanted to touch, explore, and begin using everything right away. Their enthusiasm was contagious—students who are typically more hesitant to participate were drawn in and eager to join their peers. It was clear from the very beginning that these tools would have a powerful impact on their learning.\r\nWe have been using the materials during small group instruction to support alphabet learning in a way that is both active and developmentally appropriate. Instead of simply recognizing letters on a page, students are now able to build, trace, and interact with letters using their whole bodies. This has helped deepen their understanding while keeping them actively engaged.\r\nThe hands-on nature of these materials has also supported a wide range of learners. Some students benefit from the tactile experience of touching and building letters, while others thrive when movement is incorporated into learning. By integrating both fine and gross motor skills, I have seen increased participation, improved focus, and greater confidence among my students. They are not only learning their letters—they are truly experiencing them.\r\nIn addition to academic growth, these materials have supported important social development. Students are working together, taking turns, and encouraging one another as they complete activities. I have observed more collaboration and positive peer interactions as they engage with the materials in small groups. This has helped create a classroom environment that is both supportive and joyful.\r\nPerhaps the most rewarding part has been seeing how much joy these materials bring to my students. Learning has become even more playful and meaningful. They are excited to come to small group time. That level of enthusiasm is exactly what early childhood education strives for—learning that feels like play and builds a strong foundation for future success.\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and in the power of hands-on learning. Your generosity is making a lasting impact, and I am deeply appreciative of your support.","fullyFundedDate":1765292028746,"projectUrl":"project/alphabet-in-action-moving-minds-moving/9709340/","projectTitle":"Alphabet in Action: Moving Minds, Moving Bodies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Manley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10257431"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77483","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":200,"numTeachers":11,"percentFrplEligible":59,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":64,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":56.3,"schoolId":77483,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Field Early Childhood Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Field Early Childhood Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/neosho-elementary-school-district/field-early-childhood-center/77483"}
