For our 3-5 year old students, increasing core strength improves fine motor skills. In order for our students to be the most successful, they need alternative seating and activities that will challenge their core muscles. Currently, our only seating source is rigid and does not allow for freedom of movement. Not all children are built the same way or learn at the same rate. Some students require more movement when acquiring skills and need to be able to move in a way that does not disturb other's learning. Other students require activities or materials that will calm them, such as, a weighted blanket or fidget balls. This project will provide our students with seating, toys, and senory activities to help them be engaged and active learners and promote success in their classroom experience.
