Your generosity made a meaningful difference in their testing experience.\r\n\r\nThe headphones were a huge help to my students. They allowed them to block out distractions and stay focused on their tests, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment where they could do their best. For many students, having that extra support helped them feel more confident and prepared to tackle challenging assessments.\r\n\r\nThe snacks were also a wonderful addition. A simple snack helped students feel cared for and gave them a little boost of energy during a long and stressful testing period.\r\n\r\nYour donation was about much more than headphones and snacks—it showed our students that their community believes in them and wants to see them succeed. These are lessons that are specific to their learning, and it read them the problem and talks them through their work. My scholars also use their headphones for videos when I am absent, and for IXL. I use my Ipad to record my lessons so that they are still learning when I am gone. For IXL, it is another platform that has videos to teach how to do new standards. Because of your support, every math classroom in grades 6-8 now has a full class set of calculators. And, for the first time, we also have enough calculators for all students to use during state standardized assessments this spring.\r\nThis project has already made a tremendous impact on both teaching and learning. Our students no longer have to share or wait for devices, which means they can stay focused, engaged, and confident during their lessons. Teachers are able to plan richer problem-solving activities, introduce more complex grade-level tasks, and give students the tools they need to explore math in deeper, more meaningful ways. \r\nHaving enough calculators for state assessments this spring will be a game-changer. Students will enter testing with the same tools they've learned and practiced with all year, reducing anxiety and helping them demonstrate what they truly know. This shift will especially benefit students who have struggled in the past simply because they didn't have access to the right materials.\r\nYour contribution has created equitable access across all of our middle school math classrooms.
