It's allowed me to create adaptive materials that match my students' significant needs—things like \"match and attach\" activities, visual schedules, choice boards, and hands-on sorting tasks that help them practice essential skills with more independence. One moment that stands out was watching a student who typically needs constant prompting complete a full sequence of a task using a Velcro-based visual checklist—step by step—then proudly show it to an adult. That kind of independence is huge for my learners, and it's happening more often because we now have the materials to create supports and learning materials that meet my students needs!\r\n\r\nWe're using these adaptive materials to keep building independence and communication during our current lessons and daily routines. I'm continuing to create more individualized supports—especially for functional life skills, early literacy, and math practice—so students can complete work stations, follow classroom routines, and make choices with less adult assistance. We're also expanding our visual supports for transitions and self-regulation, so students can better understand what's coming next and feel more confident throughout the day. Thank you for giving us a resource that seems simple on the surface, but is making a meaningful, daily difference for students who truly benefit from structure, visuals, and hands-on learning.","fullyFundedDate":1764683980203,"projectUrl":"project/adapted-materials-supplies-for-special-e/9793208/","projectTitle":"Adapted Materials Supplies for Special Education Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Murphy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9612076"},{"teacherId":8150483,"projectId":9843134,"letterContent":"Your gifts to our gifted classroom have had a direct and meaningful impact on student learning.
