We use the bins each morning during independent work time: students choose a bin, complete the activity, and then place a self-check card in the return slot. One favorite was the Pixel Art Challenge math puzzles — students worked quietly side-by-side, practicing pattern recognition and counting while describing their color choices. Those small, focused moments let me take attendance and pull short small groups, so instruction time is calmer and more productive.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were ecstatic — they clustered around the storage bins, exclaiming over the magnetic tiles, wooden blocks, and lacing sets. I watched a shy student who rarely volunteered become the first to demonstrate a counting puzzle to a partner; another multilingual learner used the alphabet manipulative to match letters to sounds with growing confidence. The hands-on nature of the kits made abstract skills tangible, and engagement rose immediately.\r\n\r\nNext steps: we'll rotate specific bins into targeted skill weeks (phonics-focused bins during our literacy unit; pattern and counting bins during math lessons) and I'll use observations from morning work to group students for differentiated instruction. Over the semester I plan to document growth in letter recognition, fine-motor control, and early math fluency so we can share concrete progress with families and you — the donors who made this possible. Thank you for giving our students a curious, confident start to each day.","fullyFundedDate":1765845819357,"projectUrl":"project/bright-beginnings-morning-bins-for-our/9883315/","projectTitle":"Bright Beginnings: Morning Bins for Our Kindergartener","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Holliday","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8629802_orig.jpg?crop=1980,1980,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706467406803","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8629802"},{"teacherId":6892261,"projectId":7920732,"letterContent":"A vacuum and air purifier help keep Pre-K students healthy by removing dust, dirt, and germs from the classroom. Vacuuming regularly keeps the floors clean so children aren't breathing in allergens that can make them cough or sneeze. An air purifier works all day to filter the air, catching tiny particles like pollen, dust, and even some bacteria. When the air and floors are cleaner, children get sick less often and can focus better on learning and playing.\r\nThank you for helping us keep our classroom a clean, healthy place for all of our Pre-K students. It has allowed me to implement a classroom management system that has worked really well for the diverse set of learners that I have. Having a classroom made up of first graders to sixth graders was going to be a very daunting task, especially a classroom of students who struggle with learning to begin with. \r\n Having the opportunity for students to be able to learn and work and then have a break with hands-on toys that they can use to create and imagine has been great. Students are so inundated with technology constantly and do not have the chance to learn and imagine and create. This has allowed them to not only get their work done but be imaginative as well. \r\n You have also provided these materials to a low-income school that does not have the resources to provide these materials. It is a blessing to get all of these supplies that would usually come out of my own personal salary. It was unexpected and I am very grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1754910723225,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-of-learning-and-exploration/9537368/","projectTitle":"A Classroom of Learning and Exploration At All Times","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Copto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7261076"},{"teacherId":7261076,"projectId":8944544,"letterContent":"I have been able to use the lamination paper and markers to improve instruction and make materials that are more permanent and able to be used for many kids.
