Thanks to your support, we received:\r\n\r\nVelcro dots and strips: These items help our therapists to create visual schedules and other activities that we laminate so that we can show each student what the therapy plan is and they can place each picture card in the \"all done\" pocket when they complete it and go to the next task.\r\n\r\nTheraputty (yellow, red, and green): These items strengthen hands and fingers needed for essential everyday classroom tasks like handwriting, cutting, gluing, and coloring.\r\nVarious paper: These items are so important because we go through so much paper practicing our writing and cutting and making crafts.\r\n\r\nPlaydoh, mat, and tools: These items are both a great motivator for kids to work toward in the session and to learn how to use various tools that are similar to tools used in the classroom (scissors) or in the kitchen (rolling pin).\r\n\r\nThese items are not just simple supplies; they are the keys that unlock our students' confidence, giving them the exact momentum they need to navigate their school days successfully, meet their IEP goals, and thrive. Because you chose to back our classroom, we were able to fully supply our interactive sensory activities that continue to support how our students learn to engage with the world around them.\r\n\r\nOur therapy room has come more alive with tactile and movement-based discovery:\r\n\r\nThe Movement Area: The blue sensory spinning chair has quickly become a therapy room favorite. It provides the vestibular input many of our students need to calm their nervous systems and regain focus. Combined with the mesmerizing liquid motion floor tiles, students are exploring balance and tracking color changes with every single step.\r\n\r\nThe Fine Motor Area: The suction-based Fat Brain Toys Squigz and Whirly Squigz are stuck to our whiteboards and windows, prompting students to reach, pull, and twist. This playful resistance is building critical finger strength and hand-eye coordination without feeling like a chore.\r\n\r\nTactile Bins & Calming Corners: We have filled our sensory tables with rose gold crinkle paper, bright pom poms, and fine motor tweezers and bubble scissors. For students working through sensory defensiveness, digging into these bins with these tools is so helpful! In our calming area, the hand2mind shapes pads and liquid motion bubblers provide a structured, safe, and soothing environment to self-regulate.\r\n\r\nWatching our students move from overstimulation to independent focus because they have the exact sensory tools they need is a gift that cannot be overstated.
