All high school students have the opportunity to check out pencils throughout the day to use in any of their classes. The stop by, add their name to the checkout list, and grab one. The pencils are magnetic, so I was able to take an old cookie sheet that was not usable for baking any longer and create a checkout/storage board for the pencils. The kids do a wonderful job of helping make sure all pencils are returned during Trojan Time each day, and assist me with making sure the pencils that need recharged get plugged in.
