Students use the headphones daily to watch instructional videos, review concepts, and engage with interactive lessons at their own pace. It has been a gamechanger to use during bell ringer activities. I have noticed that students had a hard time watching a video as a whole class, whether from distractions or not being able to watch the video at their own pace, like rewinding if they missed something. But having consistent access to headphones has reduced distractions and allowed students to fully concentrate, especially during independent work and virtual labs. For many students, this has made learning more accessible and less overwhelming!\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, the headphones have helped students feel more comfortable and confident in the classroom. Listening to music during independent work has helped many students manage stress and remain engaged. This donation has provided a simple but powerful tool. They were so excited to each get their own personal plant & not have to share in a group. We gave them water & set up extra lamps for light energy beside our classroom window. Some students even made sure to breathe out their carbon dioxide on their plants, haha! We all learned something new, like how & why caterpillars make webs! \r\n\r\nThe students were amazed to see the caterpillars grow into chrysalises. It was an adventure moving them from their original homes in the cups to their new homes in the butterfly pavilion habitat. Each day, students eagerly checked in on the chrysalises, awaiting the transformation. It has been such an adventure! Thank you all for your contribution to my classroom.
