One project focused on the five themes of geography. Students worked in groups to explain how people and places are connected through location, place, movement, region, and human-environment interaction.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to begin. The resources gave them opportunities to learn through visuals, discussion, creativity, and collaboration. Students who may not always participate in traditional lessons became more involved because they could create projects and show what they understood in different ways.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue exploring different regions of the world while learning about Mississippi's history, people, and culture. They will complete map activities, read and annotate informational passages, examine primary sources, and write responses using the RACES strategy. Your support has helped my students become more confident, curious, and engaged learners. As an educator, I strive to meet the needs of all my children, which includes encouraging them to stay healthy and safe. Educators come out of lots of dollars throughout the school year to meet students' needs in and out the classroom, and supplies such as these are always needed.
