When the boxes arrived, students gathered around with curiosity and excitement; many had never played cornhole before and were eager to learn. We have spent the time unpacking the boards, assembling them together, and introducing the rules and safety expectations. Students practiced throwing techniques, kept informal score, and cheered for one another, showing teamwork, sportsmanship, and lots of laughter as they experimented with angles and force.\r\nCornhole is helping us build teamwork by encouraging clear communication, strategic collaboration, and positive peer support; when students pair up to aim and score they practice giving constructive feedback, taking turns, and adjusting strategies together, which boosts trust and cooperation, while the relaxed, inclusive nature of the activity reduces social barriers so more students participate and form connections that carry over into group work and classroom culture. I am already seeing a difference in our PE class and look forward to using these sets for years to come.
