Because of your generosity, I am able to create a more engaging and supportive environment where students can grow academically and build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nYour donation does more than provide supplies, it helps open doors. It allows my students to explore new ideas, think critically, and develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond. Many of these opportunities would not be possible without the support of individuals like you who believe in the value of education and invest in the future of young people.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your kindness and commitment to education do not go unnoticed. The standing desk and twisting seat cushions have truly made a difference in how my students learn. We use them daily during reading, writing, and small group work. One moment that stood out was during a writing activity, students who normally struggle to stay focused were able to stand or use the cushions, and they stayed engaged and completed their work without redirection. It allowed them to move in a way that actually supported their learning instead of distracting from it.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials were introduced, students were excited but also quickly understood their purpose. Instead of becoming a distraction, they treated them as tools to help them focus. Students now choose what works best for them, and that sense of ownership has shifted the classroom environment. They are more aware of their needs and more intentional about staying on task.\r\n\r\nSince introducing these resources, I've seen noticeable growth in both focus and academic performance. Students are completing more work, participating more, and showing improvement on assessments. As we continue through our current units, students will keep using these tools to support their learning, especially as we work on reading analysis and writing skills. Thank you again for helping create a classroom environment where all students can succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1770060629601,"projectUrl":"project/seating-that-supports-every-learner/10040416/","projectTitle":"Seating That Supports Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kohler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10042340_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y30&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747965627539","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10042340"},{"teacherId":9588281,"projectId":9979832,"letterContent":"Thank you soooo much for your support for this project! I wasn't sure what to expect of these new 9th graders and I don't think they knew what to expect of me either. \r\n\r\nYour donation has helped me encourage mindful movement during class, something that students with ADHD and other learning disorders benefit from greatly. The illustrations allow them to follow what's happening, even when the language is difficult, and they're more willing to stay engaged because of it. I've noticed that students who would normally shut down when they see Shakespeare are more open to trying, since the illustrations help them make sense of the characters' emotions. It's also been especially helpful for visual learners and students who struggle with reading, because they can rely on the images to support their understanding instead of feeling lost in the language.\r\n\r\nAt the same time, keeping the original text alongside the illustrations has allowed students to better understand the text without lowering the standards. They're still working through Shakespeare's language, but now they have more tools to help them do it. We've had better discussions because students can point to specific scenes and talk about how the artwork reflects tone, mood, or character choices. It's helped them think more deeply about the play, rather than just trying to get through it, and overall they seem more confident when interacting with the text.","fullyFundedDate":1768515341903,"projectUrl":"project/shakespeare-in-full-color/9903162/","projectTitle":"Shakespeare in Full Color","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7625155_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748223987567","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7625155"},{"teacherId":10042340,"projectId":9379358,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom library. This daily practice gives students the space to explore stories independently, develop stamina, and discover what kinds of books truly speak to them.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially connected with the new titles in our collection. Many have taken a strong interest in dystopian and fantasy novels. Scythe, Skyward, and Graceling have quickly become favorites.
