My students are thoroughly enjoying the equipment that was purchased through donors choose. This equipment has given us new units to add into our curriculum which in turn gives our students more life skills. I am bias but to me PE is one of the most important subjects, I say this because I want all of my student to live a happy and healthy life style. My job is to get my students to love being active. I can do that by incorporating as many units and skills as possible. This project has enhanced our PE program. Students are being introduced to skills and sports they may never have been exposed to or never thought they would do. Because of you, our classroom has gained new resources that are already making a meaningful difference for my students.\r\n\r\nWe are using the sensory tools throughout the day to support focus, self-regulation, and hands-on learning. One especially meaningful moment happened during a small-group activity, when a student who typically struggles to stay engaged was able to remain focused and calmly participate using one of the new tools. It was a powerful reminder of how the right resources can open doors for learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity. They couldn't wait to explore how each item worked, and many immediately shared which tools helped them feel calm, focused, or ready to learn. It was wonderful to see them feel empowered to take ownership of their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our next steps include continuing to integrate these sensory tools into daily lessons and independent work time. We are also working on helping students identify which tools best support their individual needs, building important self-awareness and independence skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour contribution truly gave you a peek into our classroom, and we are so grateful for your support.
