We had a real need for some new volleyballs as our old ones were falling apart and we did not have enough for the students to use. Thank you also for the rackets so the younger scholars can be introduced to racket sports and games. The pickleball rackets are the biggest hit. Pickleball is so popular now and scholars either already know how to play or are really excited to learn. \r\nIt is so fun to see the scholars faces light up when I bring out the new equipment just for them to use. I have noticed a real change in the scholars to take pride in their new equipment. They take care of it because they know it's new and they want it to last. \r\nWith this new equipment I was able to teach pickleball for the first time to my students. It was very fun to be able to introduce them to this fun lifetime activity.\r\nHaving this new equipment ensures that I will be able to keep teaching volleyball, badminton and pickleball for years to come. It is wonderful to have enough equipment for my students and not having to use old, outdated and broken equipment.","fullyFundedDate":1746447104352,"projectUrl":"project/come-one-come-all-volleyball-badminton/9207431/","projectTitle":"Come One Come All Volleyball, Badminton and Pickleball for All!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9975691_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748384341714","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9975691"},{"teacherId":6576168,"projectId":9190116,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the rainbow scratch paper and art supplies, they were so excited and curious. They immediately wanted to try it out and explore all the bright colors hiding underneath the black coating. It quickly became one of their favorite activities during our art and writing centers.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the scratch paper not just for drawing, but as a tool to practice writing and spelling. The kids draw pictures and then write words or sentences about their drawings. Many of them are starting to use spelling words we've learned throughout the year. For example, some students are writing simple CVC words like \"cat,\" \"dog,\" and \"sun\" next to their pictures. It's been amazing to see how they are applying their phonics skills in such a fun way.\r\n\r\nWe've also been writing letters to families using the scratch paper. The students enjoy drawing pictures of themselves or things they love and then writing short notes or sentences to share with their parents or caregivers. This helps build their confidence in writing and gives families a special peek into what their child is learning and creating.\r\n\r\nWhat I love most is how the art and writing blend together naturally with these materials. The students first draw bright, colorful pictures, which encourages creativity and fine motor skills. Then they practice labeling their drawings or writing simple sentences to match. This process supports both their artistic expression and early literacy development.","fullyFundedDate":1745773500810,"projectUrl":"project/fostering-creativity-providing-art-supp/9190116/","projectTitle":"Fostering Creativity: Providing Art Supplies for Student Expression","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Isabel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6576168_orig.jpg?crop=4017,4017,x134,y104&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632350428711","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6576168"},{"teacherId":9975691,"projectId":9293429,"letterContent":"My students are really enjoying using the floor hockey sticks and cones.
