Your generosity has brought an incredible level of excitement, independence, and joy into our classroom. The moment the Yoto Player arrived, my students were eager to explore it—many of them experiencing audiobooks for the very first time. This resource has already created a more inclusive literacy environment, supporting students with different learning needs, language backgrounds, and attention spans.\r\nThe Yoto technology has quickly become a powerful tool in our daily learning. Students are using it to listen to stories during our work time, build vocabulary through repeated listening, and strengthen comprehension as they follow along with matching print texts. Several of my developing readers have shown greater confidence because they can hear fluent reading modeled in an engaging, child-friendly format. Our multilingual learners are benefiting from the exposure to rich language, expressive storytelling, and accessible controls they can navigate independently.\r\nThank you again for investing in my students' literacy journey. Your support has expanded their access to stories, strengthened their language development, and helped cultivate a true love of reading. This project has allowed my students to dive deeper into learning about our world and maps. The map storage has allowed my students to easily access paper maps to paint and label. So far we have focused on the 7 continents and 5 oceans. They love singing the continent and ocean song every morning. Moving forward students will begin continent studies where they explore multiple parts of a continent. \r\n\r\nStudents who created maps of the continents and were able to recite them to me without using their map got admitted into our \"Continent and Ocean Club.\" Getting into this club became a huge honor as their photo got hung up and they were given a certificate along with a prize. The prize was the globe stress balls donated through this project. \r\n\r\nThe new puzzle has been taken care of well, we did have to get rid of the box as those never survive. But students have used this to solidify their knowledge of the continents. They are bringing the children so much joy! \r\nLuckily the weather has been beautiful so they have really been enjoying all the materials. It is beautiful to watch the children run up and down the hill with the ribbon wands, laughing at the ribbons following them! The mini footballs have been a hit for the kids who like to throw things back and forth. The little cars are used to drive all over the sidewalks and chalk roads are created for them to drive on. The chalk is always well loved. The children use it to trace outlines of themselves, to write their names or even words they are learning how to spell! \r\nI cannot express how much joy these materials have brought to our classroom and make playing outside that much more fun and interesting! A few weeks ago I presented the ramp that they can test velocity (along with other inclined planes that I had on hand) and they really enjoyed testing out the different textures on the ramp to see how fast the toy cars could go on it! \r\nThis week I introduced the children to magnets on one of our science shelves and they have been busy exploring and testing what they can do with magnets. One of their favorite things to do it put two magnets between a table top and maneuver the magnets (they claim it looks likes magic and I keep reminding them that it is science!) \r\nThe animal skin cards fit perfect with our lesson about habitats and they love looking at the pattern of the animals skin/fur up close. \r\nI will be showing the children the scent work soon; we have just had some much to show and do with the materials that you have provided. It is nice that I can spread out the materials so they do not get overwhelmed and that they have a lot of time to work with the materials independently. \r\nThank you very much for supporting my students.
