However, our students have been enjoying the capability to print unique fidgets that they can use everyday to help regulate. \r\n\r\nThe students in my classroom have been captivated watching the 3D printer in action. It is a great learning tool to how we can use technology in our everyday lives. The printer and filament have been an awesome addition to our classroom in allowing us to be able to print fidgets that fit each students individual needs. My students have many sensory needs and it can be hard to find fidgets that are interesting and fit their needs. At our school we are a ways from the sensory room, however, my students have a variety of sensory needs. Your donation allowed us to build a space in the classroom where students can meet some of those needs easily and when needed. \r\n\r\nStudents have enjoyed being able to climb, hang, and crash on our new climber, hammock, and crash pad. It is the perfect addition to our classroom and has become the envy of other students at the school (with many passing by asking if they can be in our class!) Donations like yours allow teachers like me to provide my students with tools that otherwise they would not have access too. \r\n\r\nMe and my students are so grateful you chose our classroom to donate too. The students especially love using the small stuffed emotion toys they can hold in their hands while we talk about each feeling. They take turns holding the emotion that we are focusing on, which helps them stay engaged. The stories also include children talking to the emotions and learning ways to work through them and return to a calm, happy state.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom, I teach in small groups since I am a special education teacher. I typically work with 3–4 students at a time for about 20 minutes, focusing on social skills. These books have been very helpful in supporting students as they learn to understand and manage their emotions. We are focusing on building coping skills and increasing emotional awareness.\r\n\r\nMy five first-grade students are really enjoying these books. They also use the conversation cards during group time to talk with one another about themselves. One student is very comfortable sharing how she feels and expressing her emotions.
