Through stories about friendship, problem-solving, science, animals, and everyday adventures, students are building comprehension skills, learning new vocabulary, practicing fluency, and making connections to the world around them. Having books at different reading levels allows students to challenge themselves while still experiencing the joy of understanding and enjoying a story.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is a time for students to explore new stories, practice skills independently, and celebrate their growth as readers. For our multilingual learners, having accessible and interesting books makes a meaningful difference. They can focus on developing their English language skills without feeling overwhelmed by text that is too difficult, helping them feel more successful and motivated to keep reading.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts of this project is seeing students discover books that interest them and feel proud of what they can read independently.
