This was a very much needed addition to provide growth in individualized learning. My classroom gained an influx of newcomers students which presented as a challenge because I wasn't properly equipped to enhance their education. I teach second grade and most of the students are at grade level and are able to get the curriculum. As for the rest of the class, its difficulty for them to understand what is being said in the classroom. The technologies presented in the classroom is a means to provide extra support for students outside of classroom instruction. Students are able to go on school supported programs to further their learning in the lesson that was taught. For my ML students, that is presented as a challenge as they are not able to get the classroom instruction.\r\n\r\nSo what has the new Ipads brought to my classroom? A way for those students to get the learning necessary to catch up to their peers. I have been able to get certain programs on the Ipads cater to multilingual/ newcomer students that can help them recognize letters and their sounds, numbers, and so much more. These basic learning is the elements to building the foundation of academics for them.
