These flexible seating options have helped my students engaged in learning and allows students to choose what seat works best for them. One of my students chooses to use a wiggle chair every time he is in my classroom. He has said that being able to move his body helps him learn. I have noticed a significant increase in his engagement and participation since having access to a wiggle chair! Another one of students really likes sitting in the bean bag chair. When she first saw that I had bean bag chairs in my classroom, she was so excited! She likes to switch between sitting in the bean bag and sitting on the floor. Having this choice has helped her take charge of her learning and learn what works best for her. I have noticed more engagement when she has access to multiple seating options. \r\n\r\nMy next project is to continue to make my classroom a more sensory friendly space for my students. I want to provide a variety of sensory supports for my students, including fidgets, deep pressure tools such as a weighted vest, and different types of lighting. When students learned about shapes, engineering, or even ecosystems, they could design simple models and watch them come to life layer by layer. Instead of only seeing pictures in a book, they could hold geometric solids, tiny animal habitats, or custom-designed tools in their hands. This made lessons more exciting and helped students understand difficult concepts more easily.\r\n\r\nIt also encouraged creativity and problem-solving. Students worked together to plan, measure, and test their designs, learning that mistakes were part of the process. When something didn't print correctly, they discussed what went wrong and tried again—building resilience and teamwork. The 3D printer inspired students to think like inventors, and even the most hesitant learners became eager to participate when they saw their ideas take shape.\r\n\r\nOverall, the printer brought a sense of innovation to the classroom. It showed students that technology isn't just something you use—it's something you can create with. This boosted confidence, curiosity, and a love for hands-on learning that carried over into other subjects as well.","fullyFundedDate":1722339628624,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-creations/8527546/","projectTitle":"Classroom Creations!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Wagner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7106802_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1581030748995","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7106802"},{"teacherId":5792051,"projectId":9064810,"letterContent":"My students are having so much fun exploring these new materials!
