The spinning bookshelf immediately transformed the atmosphere of our classroom library area. Instead of books being tucked away on crowded shelves, students can now easily browse titles, discover new genres, and share recommendations with one another. \r\n\r\nThe bookends have also helped us organize classroom texts and student-selected reading materials so that students can more easily access books connected to current units of study. My class library was getting tight, but having another resource to spread out the literature, and make it moree visual and accessible, has made it easier and more enticing for students to view and check out books.\r\n\r\nThe motivational pens and reading stickers have also become small but powerful tools for encouraging engagement and celebrating progress. As a way to celebrate my AP lit students, and encourage them to show their best effort on the exam, I gift them each with a motivational pen. All the hard work and academic growth they have shown throughout the year is an accomplishment I want them to feel the weight of. While the pen is a small token, they get a lot of joy and encouragement from it. The reading stickers have also become part of our writing milestones and goal-setting activities. Students light up when they earn a sticker for showing mastery on a writing assignment. These small celebrations have helped build confidence and create positive momentum in the classroom.\r\n\r\nMy goal is to continue building a classroom culture where reading and writing feels inviting, accessible, and student-centered. Because of your generosity, my students now have a more organized, engaging, and welcoming learning environment that encourages both literacy growth and a stronger sense of community. Thank you for helping create a classroom space where students feel motivated to read, write, and grow.","fullyFundedDate":1777320390497,"projectUrl":"project/class-library-accessibility/10126106/","projectTitle":"Class Library Accessibility","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wells","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3446963_orig.png?crop=327,327,x0,y63&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761675087733","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3446963"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_72872","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":638,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":46,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.7,"schoolId":72872,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Paw Paw High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Paw Paw High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/paw-paw-public-school-district/paw-paw-high-school/72872"}
