The day the shipment came in, I restocked our marker cabinet. It was perfect timing because we were wrapping up an art based reflection on the women's suffrage movement. Students loved having fresh markers to complete their projects. In addition, the pencil supply was sufficiently restocked and should last us into next year. It is amazing how many students forget to bring a pencil to class. The ease of offering up a freshly sharpened pencil that is available immediately, saves time and keeps students in the learning processes instead of at their locker searching for something to write with. Expo markers are used in a student favorite activity called whiteboard review. We are continually struggling with old markers that don't work, so it is nice to have a supply for replacements. Finally, the headphones. These were a splurge for me. They are something I have been wanting to add to my classroom, but could not justify the cost.
