At first it was a task, but now they are really getting the hang of it!\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials they were thrilled! They have been asking me to use clocks during their matches for the longest time but we did not have enough for everyone to use. Therefore, we either took turns or did not use them at all. Now that we have a sufficient amount of materials, all students can practice using clocks. Alongside the chess materials, the snacks have truly been a blessing. Afterschool programs can last for a while and my students are often hungry during practice. The snacks were a big hit!\r\n\r\nThe next steps my students and I would like to take is to travel to city/state competitions.
