Based on their state assessment scores from this year, about 80% of my students are not proficient in reading and math for fourth grade. In order to close the achievement gap and to help my students be proficient, it is essential that I am implementing individualized learning plans for each student. The use of Chromebrooks and headphones during our small group workstations block for ELA and math will equip my students with the technology to access programs that will meet them where they are at instructionally. Furthermore, the use of technology will allow my students to gain research skills using the internet in the classroom to build their critical skills. By donating to our project, you will not only help improve my student's academic achievement but also help them develop better proficiency in technology, so that they can compete in the 21st century.
