They all worked diligently to complete the FAA TRUST test, so they are certified to fly the drones. We have spent many class days working on basics as we get the hang of leaving the ground and navigating around the classroom while avoiding obstacles and each other.\r\n As the skills of each future pilot have improved, I have allowed them to use the new drone to shoot video of the inside and outside of the school. We have included a study of the many career options available to those who continue working on their skills. I have also arranged a spring field trip to the local university to look at their drone program up close.\r\n None of this would have been possible without the support of incredible humans who share a belief that education can be better when real-world applications are included. Because of you, I have been able to print all sorts of wonderful things for the students in my school! I started by creating new bookmarks in various designs (as seen in the impact photos) that students can use for their library books each week. I printed new silent fidgets for our school's resource team to distribute to students who need them. I have printed new prizes for the school store that students can take as rewards for positive behavior.\r\n There has been no limit to what I am able to provide to my school community, and this limitless potential is only possible becasue of generous donors like you. The additional elastic bands allowed them to modify their prosthetic models to make removing them easier. The sheets of felt allowed students to make these prosthetics more comfortable for the wearer. The wooden puzzle cubes allowed students to create physical models of objects before they were modeled in the digital space.
