Their mechanical pencils have already proven to me more valuable than anything else in their binders! They are taking care of them as if they were living and breathing! \r\n\r\nThey love the standing desk to grab their supplies and are able to keep themselves super organized as we start this new year with new routines in place. The lamps are keeping them awake in the midst of their bodies remembering that they have to stay awake all day with no naps. \r\n\r\nAll of these supplies have made my classroom a much more welcoming environment that students actually want to be in.","fullyFundedDate":1782234967793,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-setup/10348392/","projectTitle":"Classroom Setup","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Watts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8249530_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764803019282","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8249530"},{"teacherId":8249530,"projectId":10140303,"letterContent":"As my students and I embark on a new school year we will be enjoying our new class novels in the coming months! We practice reading aloud, annotations, and many styles of discussion. Through these books, my students are able to engage in a world of literature that they would not have had the opportunity to do otherwise. \r\n\r\nWhen we read we not only discuss the lessons that our characters are learning, but what we learn ourselves from the actions of the characters. Students are able to have meaningful discussions on real life issues and connect them back to the novel that we are reading. Every novel study ends in an essay and a project that students are able to prove they understood what we learned. Through doing multiple modes of showing understanding, students truly get to immerse themselves in the novel and show what they've gained from reading within class. \r\n\r\nIf there is one thing I hope to do within my classroom, it is instill the love of reading. While they may not fall in love with every single book they read, they will learn how important it is to give books a chance that they may not have otherwise. Books open doors and windows to things that we all need to see, hear, and implement. Thank you for opening those doors and windows for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1773769452231,"projectUrl":"project/readers-are-leaders/10140303/","projectTitle":"Readers are Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Watts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8249530_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764803019282","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8249530"},{"teacherId":10525960,"projectId":10325436,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, our participants now have access to a diverse collection of educational technology, sensory resources, creative supplies, and learning materials that are transforming both our mounted and unmounted programming. While many people associate therapeutic riding solely with time spent in the saddle, some of the most meaningful growth occurs before, after, and alongside horse interactions. The addition of iPads, earbuds, sorting and learning tools, music resources, and creative materials allows us to provide individualized, multi-sensory learning experiences that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development for riders of all abilities.\r\n\r\nThese resources are being integrated into a variety of therapeutic and educational activities. Students can use iPads to practice sequencing, communication, literacy, and problem-solving skills before applying those concepts during mounted exercises. Riders may complete scavenger hunts, memory challenges, color and pattern recognition games, or horsemanship lessons that combine technology with hands-on equine experiences. During unmounted programming, participants can engage in creative arts, music exploration, sensory regulation activities, and collaborative learning opportunities that reinforce skills learned in the barn. Through our partnership with Keys Grace Academy, these tools also provide opportunities to support diverse learning styles and create engaging educational experiences that bridge classroom learning with real-world applications through horses.\r\n\r\nPerhaps most exciting is the increased ability to personalize each participant's experience. Some students who struggle with traditional instruction have shown remarkable engagement when technology and interactive learning tools are incorporated into lessons. Nonverbal participants can utilize communication applications to express preferences and participate more independently, while students working on attention, executive functioning, and emotional regulation benefit from structured, technology-supported activities. These resources help us meet participants where they are, creating opportunities for success, confidence-building, and meaningful connection. Your support is helping us deliver innovative, inclusive programming that extends far beyond horseback riding and creates lasting impact in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.","fullyFundedDate":1781541469064,"projectUrl":"project/barn-projects/10325436/","projectTitle":"Barn Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Charlotte","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10525960_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1780772387470","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/starz"},{"teacherId":10384883,"projectId":9959990,"letterContent":"My students and I are so beyond appreciative of your donations. We have already done a few projects with the materials. The students have been using the clay mats for air dry clay projects, the watercolor paper for a watercolor wash project inspired by artist Takashi Murakami and the acrylic paint markers for outlining artwork. \r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when I told them about the new materials. They are grateful for the donations and the opportunity to use them in class. \r\n\r\nI am planning an 8th grade canvas painting project for the end of the year. I put them on my list for 8th grade specifically because the students are graduating this year. The project will have them reflect on their time at the school and maybe a moment that really means something to them. They will be able to keep these forever and reflect on their time in Middle school and the memories that were made.","fullyFundedDate":1766104331233,"projectUrl":"project/ms-os-art-class-wish-list/9959990/","projectTitle":"Ms. O's Art Class Wish List","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Onesi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10384883"},{"teacherId":8249530,"projectId":9943686,"letterContent":"My students have been so happy to have brand new supplies that are making their day to day in class easier.
