My students and I have been putting the new resources to work every single day, and the impact has been immediate and inspiring.\r\n\r\nHow we are using the new resources\r\nWe recently began a hands-on learning project using the materials you provided. One of the most memorable moments was during a math workshop when students used the new manipulatives to model two-digit addition with regrouping. A student who had been struggling finally lit up when she realized she could see and touch the math—something that wasn't possible with our limited supplies before. The room buzzed with excitement as groups collaborated, checked each other's work, and proudly explained their thinking.\r\n\r\nStudents' first reactions\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students could hardly contain their excitement. Many of them gasped, clapped, or asked, \"Are these really for us?\" They explored everything with wide eyes and big smiles, eager to try each new item. Several said it felt like \"a whole new classroom.\"\r\n\r\nWhat's next for us\r\nRight now, we are working on strengthening both reading and math foundations. The new resources will help us launch small-group stations where students can rotate through targeted practice. In reading, they'll use decodable texts and word work tools to build phonics and fluency. In math, they'll engage in hands-on challenges that support place value, addition within 100, and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students now have the tools they need to grow with confidence. Your contribution didn't just supply materials—it created opportunities, moments of understanding, and a classroom full of proud learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in us.","fullyFundedDate":1752965162543,"projectUrl":"project/bright-rugs-tidy-tubs-building-a-bett/9434816/","projectTitle":"Bright Rugs & Tidy Tubs: Building a Better Learning Space","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Priest","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10064523_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y277&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750948347568","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10064523"},{"teacherId":8272548,"projectId":9446258,"letterContent":"What an amazing opportunity I am able to offer to my students! As a newer teacher, I don't have many options for flexible seating, so this was very exciting for my students and myself. They immediately fell in love with the stools and asked to sit in them. Since there were several in the pack, most of the students who wanted them right away, got to use them. \r\nI have found that many of my students utilize these stools when they want to move or sit more freely than a regular chair. This allows them to wiggle and move a little, while also learning. They are also really light and easy to move, so I find myself choosing to use them when I need to pull up a seat next to a student to help them. \r\nThank you again for donating to my classroom. The first week, I made sure that a couple students who are very unfocused, had a wobble seat to use during the day. It was the first time this year that they actually sat at their desks and completed their work. They were very focused and involved in our classroom discussions. They seemed like totally different students. I think the biggest change that I had seen was during the MStep.
