Unfortunately, they are expensive, and we simply did not have the budget to purchase them, so it seemed unlikely that we would be able to make it happen.\r\n\r\nThankfully, you stepped forward to help—and our students could not be happier!\r\n\r\nThis year, we are using the headphones as a fun way to motivate and celebrate good attendance. Each month, the class with the highest attendance percentage earns a Silent Disco party. The students are excited about the challenge and love having something special to work toward together.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping us accomplish more than just bringing joy to our students—although that is pretty important, too! In the past, an easy option has been to allow students to play on their Chromebooks. While that may be convenient, it isn't necessarily what is best for kids. They need opportunities to put the screens away, talk with their friends, play together, problem-solve, laugh, and simply enjoy being kids—all while having safe choices available to them.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generous donation, our students now have so many more options for indoor recess. We have already had two rainy indoor recess days this year, and the kids have LOVED using the new games and activities!\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping us create opportunities for them to build friendships, practice social skills, and have fun together. Since adding the tables and chairs, students have spent time enjoying a peaceful place to work and relax. \r\nBefore your donation the courtyard was a great place for turtles and frogs, but there was no space for students to sit and work. Now they bring their books and papers out and find a place to relax.\r\nWe have noticed that this really helps students who have extra energy. Being in nature helps them relax and settle down to do their work.
