I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your support! Before your donation, our Music Area was bare bones; we only had a few selection of instruments the students could choose from. Now, we have a plethora of options for the students to explore! It makes it even more special that this is our first group of students to use these materials.\r\n\r\nWhen we introduced the Music Area, the students were amazed! Most, if not all, of the students have never had access to instruments before. Needless to say, it was a new experience for all of them! The first few weeks of school was simply exploring the Music Area: learning the names of the instruments, playing the instruments, and listening to how the instruments sounded. Now that the students are familiar with the materials, they are incorporating them into their daily learning. The students are using them in their songs, which is helping promote phonological awareness. They are also practicing their counting skills by keeping the beat of the instruments they're using. My class and I are very appreciative of the new addition to the classroom. With your help, we were able to freshen up our learning space and made the area more comfortable for learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the carpet they were amazed! \"We got a new carpet!\" was shouted by every child that day. While they were excited, they were nervous to sit on it because they didn't want it to get messy, haha! However, once they sat on it for Morning Message they loved it! The students also loved gathering on it during Work Time to build with blocks, LEGOs, magnatiles, trains, and more! \r\n\r\nA new group of students will be entering my class in just a few short weeks.
