Your kindness has allowed my classroom to enjoy so many more books then they were before. In early childhood education it is best to do repeated readings with books so the students can feel confident in reading the story by themselves. This project allowed our students to have multiple copies of some core books - The Three Bears, Caps for Sale, The Gingerbread Man, Owl Babies, Three Billy Goats Gruff, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, and Peter's Chair. My students love to read the same book as their friends and now they can each have their own copies to read too! \r\n\r\nThese books also gave us a few new versions of a story as well so the students have been busy comparing and contrasting the different versions of The Three Bears, The Gingerbread Man, and The Three Little Pigs. These books also helped to encourage the students to express their feelings with words instead of actions. A Little Spot of Feelings came with small plush figures to represent the different emotions and they have been a bit hit in our classroom. \r\n\r\nAs you can see these books have already been well loved by the students and will continue to be loved in the days and years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1746485036304,"projectUrl":"project/pre-k-library-refresh/9244326/","projectTitle":"Pre-K Library Refresh!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Werner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3496791_orig.png?crop=464,464,x0,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744077032067","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/k-werner"},{"teacherId":7035553,"projectId":9464695,"letterContent":"My students have benefited so much from the items purchased through this project. I have been able to start over 60 5th grade students on an instrument of their choice. \r\n\r\nWe have students playing the clarinet and the alto saxophone. My classroom is feeling so much cozier and calmer with these changes. It looks so good! \r\nThe children keep coming in and noticing when I have made a change, and they are all smiles. Having nature, and fresh easy to look at walls/boards makes a difference even to them. \r\nI only am able to do what I do because of amazing donors like you. Not only is it gorgeous, it is also big enough to fit everyone with room to spare. We are no longer fighting for space, and the children have some freedom to wiggle while on their spot. The carpet is bright, and clean and it has just made such a difference in the look and feel of the classroom. \r\n I know it doesn't seem like much, but a nice classroom rug is the heart of a class. We use the rug to read stories, dance + sing, build towers, race cars, and play with friends.
