Our summer learning bags helped students see reading and learning over the summer as something exciting, engaging, and enjoyable. Each student received a new book to read, along with a notebook and writing supplies to encourage them to continue practicing their literacy skills while school was out. The books provided students with opportunities to build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, make connections, and explore new ideas, while the notebooks encouraged them to write, draw, and share their thinking about what they read.\r\n\r\nWe hope these summer learning bags helped prevent summer learning loss while also reminding our students that learning can happen anywhere! We especially loved being able to send every student home with a book of their own to enjoy and keep. For some students, having access to a new, engaging book over the summer can make a big difference in encouraging them to pick up a book and read. Thank you for helping us make sure our students had the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and enjoying books all summer long!","fullyFundedDate":1778305944516,"projectUrl":"project/unlock-summer-learning-one-bag-at-a-tim/10273123/","projectTitle":"Unlock Summer Learning: One Bag at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bellinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3283380_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1479532735547","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lauren-reicks"},{"teacherId":4381606,"projectId":9793647,"letterContent":"Thank you for the impact you have made on our classroom!
