We use these pencils during writing, phonics, and reading activities, and it has made a big difference—students are able to stay focused and complete their work without interruptions.\r\n One special moment was during a writing lesson when every student was ready at the same time, eager to begin, which doesn't always happen without enough supplies.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new pencils, they were excited and grateful. Something as simple as having their own pencil gave them a sense of pride and responsibility. Having structured, fun ways to move—like playing soccer—not only helps them burn off energy but also builds coordination, cooperation, and confidence. We sit together for read-alouds, share our thoughts, and even act out scenes from the stories. Apt. 3 sparked great conversations—especially among students who live in apartments themselves.
