Each student chose a game board for me to print. They had a blast coloring and labeling squares to have the player move back or lose a turn. \r\n We then played every game using 2, six-sided dice and an operation dice that determined if we were adding or subtracting. Everyone had so much fun, including me. They were given the dice and player pieces all neat in a bag to bring home and play with their families. They reported back who played with them, who won and how much fun they had.\r\n I can't wait until next school year when these games can be made for each strategy as we are working on them. Students love to work with a partner to identify text features and share how the different text features help them understand the article/topic of the article. \r\n\r\nThe students' favorite part is always the fact that they get to take the article home with them and share it with their families!
