Music and music education should be accessible to all students. Through your funding of this project, we were able to provide students with reeds at no cost. This alleviated the financial hurdle that many of my students faced when they considered joining the band and participating in my school's music program. \r\nIn order to make music accessible to all students, my school offers school instruments to students that need them, and now, through your efforts, we were able to offer reeds and other supplies. While this may seem small, it makes a difference to our students. Now, everyone has the supplies they need to succeed and keep their instruments in working condition. \r\nStudents who were embarrassed to ask for reeds now feel no shame about coming up to the supply cart to grab a reed when they need one, and the same goes for students who need oil and grease. I think the best moment was how excited one of the high school students was to show an eighth grader the reeds and have them try going up a level with them.
