Students would walk in, feel the cool air, and immediately comment on how comfortable it was. The first gift we opened was the Place Value game. My students loved it. It was a great hands on game to learn how numbers and place value work. My students were able to see place value through a multi-model way which gave them the insight to be able to solve problems and internalize their knowledge. \r\n When my students first saw the Place Value game they were very interested in how to play it. The object of the game was to search a haunted house for golden numbers in order to manipulate place value. The game gave my students practice with comparing numbers, expanded form of numbers, and adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers. \r\n The next lesson we will be learning is addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers with regrouping. The place value mats that we received with our order will be a great tool for that.
