They're compact and comfortable, and the fun colors really brighten up our space. The gift cards have been so helpful when looking for quick resources to support our new English language learners and students on IEPs, so they can continue to grow. If we didn't know it already, we know it NOW- REPRESENTATION MATTERS.\r\n\r\nThree years olds to ten year olds are coming into the library to find adorable dolls that look like them and dress like them- it is as though the library is their best friend. And all the fun, colorful board books are perfect books for the scholars to take to a cozy spot and read with their bestie. \r\n\r\nHaving this profoundly positive experience as young readers creates life long readers. Because of your support, our students now have access to beautiful, high-quality instruments that will enrich their musical education for years to come. The excitement in the classroom was immediate—the moment the xylophones arrived, students were eager to explore new sounds and rhythms, and their joy was truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nYour donations have made a lasting impact not just on our music program, but on the lives of our young learners. These instruments allow students to develop critical skills such as creativity, collaboration, and confidence. They also provide a meaningful opportunity for children to express themselves in ways that go beyond words. For many students, music class is a highlight of their week, and the addition of xylophones has elevated their experience to a whole new level.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your belief in the importance of arts education and your willingness to invest in our students' growth. So far, my 4th, 5th, and 6th graders have gotten a chance to use the carving tools to add fine details to their clay projects. Check out the photos of some student work! The rolling pins have been hard at work rolling out slabs of clay for students to build with. We also received a variety of carving tools that students have been able to use to: carve out holes and the insides of vessels, shape and flatten clay slabs, smooth out edges and corners, and even writing and drawing on the clay. MY 4th graders were really creative with them, and our final sculptures ended up being animals, imitation foods, miniature cups and bowls, and custom figurines for friends and loved ones!\r\n\r\nThese tools will be a vital part of my clay lessons in the future as well, and I am very thankful for the donations that made them possible. When I'm planning for next year, I'll know I have these tools at my disposal to give my students the best hands-on experiential art classes I can!
