Many of our students face financial and other challenges outside of school, and having access to basic hygiene necessities and a well-equipped health office helps ensure they have the support they need to feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to learn. We are in an old school building with no gym, no pool, no field house. They have gym and recess inside the classroom during the winter and rainy days. They are in school for 7 hours! Most can not advocate their needs and most do not have parents or a family that can support them with outside activities. These parents work long hours and weekends to make ends meet and they need the support. Many of our students face challenges accessing basic necessities such as personal hygiene products and dental care items. With your support, we have been able to provide undergarments, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, and a change of clothes to students who need them most, helping them feel more comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the small office refrigerator has been an invaluable addition to my nursing office. It allows for safe storage of student medications and provides a reliable place to keep ice packs on hand for injuries and other health needs throughout the school day. These resources not only improve my ability to respond quickly to medical situations but also ensure that students receive care in a safe and supportive environment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a real difference in the daily lives of our students. Beyond meeting physical needs, these supplies help promote dignity, health, and emotional well-being.
