Your generosity gave my kindergarten students the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of plants, flowers, and pollinators through meaningful, hands-on experiences.\r\n\r\nThroughout the project, my students learned about pollinators and the incredibly important role they play in our planet's ecosystem. They planted a variety of flowers in our classroom garden patch and even brought flowers home to plant in their own gardens. It was wonderful to see their excitement grow alongside their plants!\r\n\r\nOur classroom was filled with opportunities for discovery. The children explored and compared different types of seeds, used field guides to identify flowers and insects, carefully dissected flowers to investigate their parts, and planted bulbs so they could observe the stages of plant growth. Each experience encouraged them to ask questions, make observations, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable parts of our project was raising butterflies in our classroom and releasing them into our outdoor learning space, right among the flowers the children had planted. Watching the butterflies emerge and then releasing them into a garden they helped create was an unforgettable experience. The students were able to see firsthand the connection between plants, pollinators, and the life cycle of living things.\r\n\r\nYour support provided much more than gardening materials. You gave my students the opportunity to touch, observe, investigate, nurture, and wonder. You helped turn science concepts into experiences they could see and feel for themselves. We have fun reviewing new concepts on Fridays and practicing our language throughout the week with the fun new materials. \r\n\r\nMy students especially love the Headbands game where they get to wear a mystery card on a headband and then practice asking questions to figure out the mystery image. This is a great activity to practice their oral language skills. They learn new vocabulary terms and practice asking questions with support from suggested question cards. \r\n\r\nThe other activities are just as engaging and the students love to interact with them while practicing their English language.
