Because of your donation, we were able to get several lamps and lights for teachers across our middle school. As stated in the project description, our middle school classrooms are located in the center of our school building -- meaning we do not have any windows. This leads to long days under harsh flourescent lighting and if we turn off the overhead lights it is too dark to work or move safely. But with these lights we have been able to provide every classroom alternative lighting options! \r\n\r\nStudents and teachers alike have been thrilled to receive their lamps and lighting strips. Teachers now have various options for how to light their classrooms and have even incorporated the changes into instructional routines to signal work time. Students constantly request the lights to be dimmed, and now with the lamps we can meet their requests and still work productively.
