The high school where I teach is a small New York City public school within a larger school complex. We have a student body of 350 students from grade nine through grade twelve. My students are passionate about their school and are eager to dispel the stereotype surrounding urban youth. They simply need the materials to help raise their level of learning to the high standards they have already set for themselves. I currently design curriculum embedded with real world learning experiences to engage and bring to life the theories we are studying and look forward to sharing the DonorsChoose project with them.
