We are using the new resources every day, especially during morning meetings and when my students are experiencing big emotions. One special moment that stands out was when a student who often feels overwhelmed was asked to choose a sensory gel toy and quietly focused on moving the colors inside until they felt ready to rejoin the group. \r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They were eager to explore the fidget toys, gently squeeze the sensory gel toys, and watch the calming movement inside the sensory tubes. The stickers were a bonus and helped reinforce positive choices like sharing and taking turns. Most importantly, students quickly learned that these materials are not just fun; they help them feel calm, focused, and safe in our classroom.\r\nThanks to your generosity, our next steps include teaching students how to independently choose the right calming tool when they need it and use simple language or point to the emotion visuals to express their feelings. Your support has truly made a lasting impact by creating a supportive environment where every child can grow, learn, and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1760442626776,"projectUrl":"project/calm-minds-calm-bodies/9429307/","projectTitle":"Calm Minds, Calm Bodies!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barquillo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8611767_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y262&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688437150343","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8611767"},{"teacherId":3812512,"projectId":9607706,"letterContent":"We've already started using all the new resources, and they've made a big difference in our day-to-day routine. The USB headphone adapters have been especially helpful—students can finally use their learning programs without worrying about broken headphone jacks or bothering the people around them. The flexible seating has been a huge hit too. During our small groups, some students grabbed wobble stools to help them focus, while others got comfy on the floor cushions to work together. The new storage has also made our classroom feel calmer and more organized, and students love being able to grab what they need on their own.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw everything set up, they were so excited. A few of them said, \"Whoa, this is awesome!\" and immediately started testing out the different seats. Even the small things, like the adapters, got big reactions because they solved problems the kids deal with every day.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on a research project where students are preparing short presentations on topics they care about. The seating helps them settle into a good workspace, the adapters let them watch their research videos without distractions, and the organized materials make it easy to grab what they need. It's invet8ble that children play closely together. They share everything, illness like the common cold and possibly lice infestation. Early detection is important.\r\n\r\nThanfully the equipment purchased by a wonderful donor will allow the school nurse to exam and identify infestation. Early detection could be 1-2 louse eggs that are 1/3 the size of a grain of rice. The lighting in older schools can be dim makimg it difficult to decipher between lice, lint or dandruff. \r\n\r\nThe magnifier glasses have helped with detection needed to provide a treatment plan. \r\n\r\nThe printer ink is undeniably a needed office supply that has provided educational handouts and community resource information to families. \r\n\r\nThank you, thank you, thank you!","fullyFundedDate":1741357533363,"projectUrl":"project/medical-printing-lice-health-educati/9090945/","projectTitle":"Medical Printing & Lice : Health Education Forms Created and Distributed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nurse Christmas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9913388"},{"teacherId":8023581,"projectId":9108864,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations!
