Having dry erase boards and markers in the class will help my kindergartners learn how to write letters. We will have lessons each day on handwriting. Using the dry erase boards will be more environment-friendly so we don't have to use paper each day to practice, they can just erase and use the board again. Crayons and markers are essential tools needed for my kindergarten class because we will use them each day. We will use them during independent work, group work, small group work, centers, writing, math, science, social studies, and even recess. Many students bring those materials to school in the beginning of the year, but it really makes a difference when the teacher can provide those materials. Writing journals will be used during small group instruction and writing workshop. This way the students can keep all their creative ideas and writing all in one place.
