The materials are helping us turn an everyday household task into a meaningful learning experience where students can practice important independent living skills. For our students, learning how to do laundry is about much more than washing clothes—it is an opportunity to build independence, follow a sequence of steps, make choices, practice safety, and gain confidence in a skill they can use throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nThe most rewarding part of this project is seeing students realize that they are capable of doing things for themselves. A task that may seem simple to many people can represent a significant accomplishment for one of our students.
