With these new materials, students are able to move beyond ideas on paper and bring their designs to life. They are building prototypes, testing their ideas, and making real-time improvements through iteration—just like professional engineers.\r\n\r\nThe cordless hot glue guns have given students flexibility and independence during the building process. They can collaborate more easily, work safely and efficiently, and focus on the design process without being limited by cords or workspace constraints. Meanwhile, the 3D printing filament allows students to take their CAD designs and turn them into physical objects, helping them better understand precision, measurement, and functionality.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting outcomes has been seeing students take ownership of their learning. As they design, build, and revise their prototypes, they are developing critical thinking skills, creativity, and resilience. They are learning that failure is part of the process—and that each iteration brings them closer to a better solution.\r\n\r\nThis project has not only enhanced student engagement but has also helped prepare them for future careers in engineering, manufacturing, and design.
